Mount St. Joseph University has been awarded the 2026-2027 Military Friendly Silver Award through its commitment to creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for military-affiliated students.
Over 3,200 organizations compete annually for the Military Friendly Silver Award, and Mount St. Joseph University has been designated as a recipient of the award for yet another academic year. This designation is a recognition of the Mount’s hard work and commitment to empower the military community.
"As we celebrate another year of being recognized as a Military Friendly School, our focus remains on providing a seamless transition for veteran and transfer students," says Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission, Amy Wolf. "We understand the unique challenges military families face when moving into higher education, and this award gives us the confidence that we are providing the right resources and the right environment for them to reach their goals.”
The Military Friendly Schools survey is the longest-running and most comprehensive review of the efforts that colleges and universities make towards supporting military and veteran students. An institution’s survey score, public data, and an assessment of an institution’s ability to meet and exceed student thresholds for student recruitment, retention, academic progress, graduation rates, career placement, and support services for veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses are all factors that go into designating the award.
