President H. James Williams Announces the Launch of the MSJ x Metro Ride Free Program.

It is fantastic to see everyone back on campus today to start the Spring Semester! The New Year and the new Academic Term are filled with endless opportunities for learning, growth, and discovery, both on campus and throughout Greater Cincinnati. To facilitate access to all that our vibrant campus and Region have to offer, I am pleased to announce the launch of the “MSJ x Metro Ride Free” Program!
Cincinnati Metro is southwest Ohio’s public transit system, that serves Hamilton County and includes stops in Clermont, Butler, and Warren Counties, with two stops on the Mount’s campus. Through its “Reinventing Metro” Plan, Metro is reimagining public transportation by enhancing the rider experience, expanding routes, increasing frequency, and upgrading amenities on its buses. Metro provides safe, reliable, and convenient transportation to the public – 365 days a year and 24 hours a day.
The “MSJ x Metro Ride Free” Program will provide free Metro bus service to all Mount students and employees, from now through August 14, 2026! To learn about this exciting program, stop by the kick-off event in the Theater Gallery and Administrative Circle this Wednesday, January 14th, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A “Reinventing Metro” bus will be on site for touring, and information will be provided about bus routes, to and from campus and across the Region, to areas such as The Banks, stadiums, theaters, Clifton, Mount Adams, and beyond. To access the “MSJ x Metro Ride Free” passes, individuals will need to register in advance.
The Mount is proud to be partnering with Cincinnati Metro to provide our community with this free service for the Spring and Summer Semesters. I would like to thank the staff in the Wellness Center, Police Department, Center for Mission & Belonging, and the Marketing Department for making this opportunity happen for Mount students and employees.
In closing, I encourage you to take advantage of the “MSJ x Metro Ride Free” Program, whether it is for everyday use, catching a game, a night out, or to attend a show. It presents a unique chance to embrace public transportation and the many benefits it can provide both individuals and the community.
