A vibrant new mural showcases the creativity, collaboration and artistic talent of MSJ students.
A new butterfly mural now brightens the Butterfly Tunnel at Mount St. Joseph University, thanks to the creativity and hard work of students in the University’s Art Guild. The colorful new artwork transforms the tunnel into an engaging visual experience and adds a distinctive piece of student-created art to campus.
The mural gave Art Guild students an opportunity to collaborate on a project that will remain a part of the MSJ community. Working together, the student artists brought their ideas and artistic talents to the space, creating a mural that reflects the creativity and imagination found throughout the University.
The project is also an example of the hands-on creative experiences available through MSJ’s Department of Creative Arts. Beyond developing their skills in the classroom, students have opportunities to create meaningful work, collaborate with their peers and contribute their talents to the campus community.
With the mural now complete, the Butterfly Tunnel has become a colorful showcase for MSJ’s student artists. Each time members of the campus community pass through the space, they can enjoy a lasting reminder of the creativity and collaboration behind the project.
