These findings help institutions continue strengthening coursework, field experiences, and program design aligned with the Science of Reading.

Mount St. Joseph University earned the highest best-attempt scores as well as the highest Program Impact on Candidate Pass Rates on the Ohio Assessment for Educators in our region! This achievement reflects not only the exceptional quality and rigor of our educator preparation programs, but also the deep commitment we make to supporting all of our students every step of the way.
Alignment with Ohio Science of Reading Audit Metrics!
Not only did MSJ meet the audit metrics addressed in Reading Core Courses we were also officially recognized as being in full alignment with the 2025 Science of Reading Audit expectations - the highest ranking! This is an extraordinary accomplishment and speaks to the excellence and intentionality of our curriculum and instructional design.
