The August Pride of the Lions honors the Seton Hall Door Access and Mount ID Card Project Team for its extraordinary work to enhance the Mount’s existing 24/7/365 safety systems and protocols!

The Team (pictured) includes the following employees:
- Stacy Decker, Director of Campus Facilities and Operations;
- Jason Walter, Maintenance Supervisor;
- Adam Puckett, Systems Development & Network Analyst;
- Andrew Phelps, Senior Developer;
- Taylor Young, Police Administrative Coordinator;
- Kevin Koo, Chief of Police;
- Jackie Roberts, Director of Technology Design Development and User Experience; and
- Steve Ober, Fire Inspector.
This project has been in development for multiple years, because it necessitated the review of many possible approaches to ensure coordination with existing campus safety systems, as well as expansion and enhancements for years to come.
This summer, the project progressed to the installation of a state-of-the art, door-access control system throughout the Seton Center Building (52 doors and building elevators) and an upgrade to more than 2,000 Mount ID cards.
The Team’s expertise allowed for multiple adjustments during the installation process to swiftly and successfully address facility, technology, and fire safety issues. Together, this dedicated team demonstrated outstanding collaboration, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of the entire Mount community.
As such, they are most deserving of being named the August “Pride of the Lions!”
Sincerely,
H. James Williams, Ph.D.
