The Pride of the Lions award for July goes to Jacqueline Roberts, Director of Technology Design, Development & User Experience, in the ISS Department!

Mount Community,

Jackie exudes collegiality and collaboration, while working with colleagues from all areas of the University.  For the past year, she has led a group of approximately twelve persons, from across the campus, in evaluating vendors and recommending long-term solutions for our student information system. Jackie also leads the Blackboard Support Team, providing support for both strategic decisions and hands-on assistance, and she supervises the Helpdesk, a first-stop shop for all of the community’s technology needs. In addition, Jackie manages a number of technology implementation projects across campus, including recent developments, including the new dining hall system transition, and the MIP (the new fiscal software platform) implementation.

As if that were not enough, Jackie oversees the msj.edu website, from the IT side, and she supports course development efforts, partnering with Faculty and Staff members to improve digital content and engagement.  Jackie also teaches classes on occasion, lending her expertise to the Computer Science program and to the School of Business and Communication, when she is needed. Because of Jackie’s collaborative and caring approach to her work, along with her ability to manage so many different projects skillfully and collaboratively, she is this month’s Pride of the Lions!

Please join me in congratulating – and thanking – Jackie Roberts for embracing the Mount’s mission, vision and values!

Sincerely,

Dr. H. James Williams.
