Beer Release Party at West Side Brewing on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025, 5:30 - 8:30 P.M.
Two Mount St. Joseph University seniors, Evan Webb and Kyle Rees, had their recipe for Belgian Dark Strong Ale selected for brewing at West Side Brewing. Evan and Kyle both took Dr. Tim Lawson’s BRW 101 course earlier this semester. Dr. Tim Lawson is a Professor Emeritus at the Mount. While at MSJ, he served as a professor and Chair of the Department of Psychology. He continues to teach the BRW 101 course and is very involved in the Cincinnati beer brewing scene.
To celebrate this achievement, West Side Brewing will host a release party for Evan and Kyle’s Belgian Dark Strong Ale on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:30 P.M. The event is open to all!
MSJ alumnus Kurtis Remmel, one of the owners of West Side Brewing, has played a key role in building opportunities like this for Mount students. His ongoing support exemplifies the strong connections between the university and the brewery.
