Next week, we honor activist Martin Luther King Jr. who played a key role in leading the American Civil Rights Movement. We reflect on his influence, impact, and key topics to put our own dreams and service into action.

Mount St. Joseph University invites the Mount Community to its annual “I Have a Dream Week” beginning Monday, Jan. 15 through Saturday, Jan. 20. Please see the schedule of events with corresponding information below; we hope to see you there!

Candle Decoration

Join us to decorate candles commemorating civil rights leaders who helped pave the way for the ongoing work of the Rev. Dr. King.

Prayer & Reflection

Looking at the lives of civil rights icons, along with a reflection by Dr. Elijah Prewitt-Davis.

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center Visit

Sign up to join us for a visit to this amazing museum dedicated to the ongoing civil rights struggle.

Time & Location: 1 p.m. departure from the Seton Lobby to visit the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

MLK Week Service Day

Time & Location: 8:45 a.m., Mount Community will meet in the Seton Lobby and then travel to St. Vincent DePaul and Matthew 25 to engage in service.
