Habemus Papam!
The Mount Community welcomes Pope Leo XIV as the new shepherd of the Catholic Church.
Inspired by Pope Leo XIV’s namesake, Pope Leo XIII, and as a Catholic University grounded in the vision our founders, the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, we continue our commitment to our students rooted in values, integrity, and social responsibility.
As the second Pope from the Americas and the first from the United States, let us hold Pope Leo XIV in prayer in a special way during this time of new beginnings.

Prayer for a New Pope
O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful,
look favorably on your servant Pope Leo XIV,
whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd;
grant, we pray, that by word and example he may be of service
to those over whom he presides so that,
together with the flock entrusted to his care,
he may come to everlasting life.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
