What is your year and major? What is your anticipated graduation year?
Junior, Exercise Science, spring 2026.
Why did you choose the Mount?
Located close to my house and seemed to be a better fit than my previous school.
How did the Mount help accommodate your transfer needs?
The Mount made it very easy to transfer. Academic advisors helped me go through my previous courses to ensure I was taking the necessary classes.
Are you involved in any student organizations or extracurriculars? If so, how have
these supported your academic success?
The main extracurricular I am a part of is the baseball team at the Mount. Baseball has really helped me find a place at the Mount and meet more people. The coaches also encourage school before sports, so it makes it easier to prioritize school work.
How do you manage your course load along with other obligations?
I like to schedule out the different obligations I have and that allows me to get my work done on time. It also allows me to stress less about my course work and focus on other things outside of school.
Are there any staff or professors you would like to credit who helped
accommodate your transfer experience?
Two professors that I would like to acknowledge in my transfer are Professor Palmer and Professor BC. Both of them made it a smooth transition with scheduling classes as my advisors and also giving me a welcoming face for every class I have with them.
Describe one of your favorite memories at the Mount so far.
My favorite memories so far from the Mount would have to be playing baseball. The group of guys that I get to spend each year with only adds to the experience I have at the Mount. It is a brotherhood that we all enjoy and are grateful to be a part of.
What advice would you give to someone looking to transfer to the Mount?
To have an open mind. Transferring is a big decision and may feel at times like it may be easier to stick it out at your original school. The Mount is a welcoming environment that makes it very easy to make the switch.
What was your experience like connecting with students on campus?
Playing on the baseball team there were already people that I was able to meet and make connections with. Through those people I began to meet more faces and create more relationships.
Can you describe your experience with the transfer scholarships and applying for
them?
Didn't really apply for any.
How has the Mount supported you so far?
The Mount has supported me in many ways with the most important being post college success. The Mount has numerous resources to make it very easy to find a career after school.
