CINCINNATI — Mount St. Joseph University (Mount) will celebrate its 114th Commencement on Saturday, May 3, 2025, honoring the academic achievements of the Class of 2025. The ceremonies will be held at the Mount’s Harrington Center, where graduates, families, faculty, and staff will gather to mark this significant milestone.

This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Jesse Minter, a proud MSJ University alumnus and defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers and formerly the defensive coordinator for the University of Michigan football team. Minter, who graduated in 2005 with a degree in liberal studies, played football for the Lions and has since built a distinguished coaching career. In 2023, he helped lead Michigan to its first national championship title since 1997.

“Jesse embodies the Mount’s mission of leadership, excellence, and service,” President H. James Williams, Ph.D., president of Mount St. Joseph University. “His dedication to his craft and his commitment to teamwork and integrity make him an inspiring example for our graduates as they begin their own professional journeys.”

The day will feature two commencement ceremonies:

  • 10 a.m. - Ceremony for graduate students graduating from the schools of Business & Communication, Education, and Health Science.
  • 2:30 p.m.- Ceremony for all undergraduate students.
