The School of Business recently launched the Media Maker Space located in Seton 507. This innovative facility serves as a versatile multimedia lab, offering MSJ students, faculty, and staff an array of capabilities. Community members can utilize this space for streaming and recording a wide range of content, including interviews, YouTube videos, instructional materials, brainstorming sessions, promotional content, and podcasts. The Media Maker Space is thoughtfully equipped with professional-grade microphones, a mixing board, cameras, lighting equipment, laptops, headphones, a presentation desk, and a customizable bookshelf backdrop.

A noteworthy feature of this space is its potential to transform traditional academic assignments. Instructors now have the option to reimagine conventional essay or reflection tasks, allowing students to create podcasts or YouTube video reflections instead. For example, students enrolled in Digital Marketing this semester are making excellent use of the Media Maker Space. They are converting industry whitepapers into engaging podcast interviews, where they apply concepts from these papers to renowned brands such as Nike, Spotify, Fashion Nova, and Google.

The School of Business is thrilled to provide the MSJ community with this exciting outlet for nurturing and exploring creativity, enhancing outreach efforts, and fostering media literacy. We believe that the Media Maker Space will be an invaluable resource for all who wish to venture forward into the world of multimedia content creation.
