Dr. Erin Hofmeyer PT, DPT, GCS, is an Assistant Professor and the Assistant Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Physical Therapy at Mount St. Joseph University. Erin received a proclamation of gratitude from Governor Mike DeWine for completing nine years of service on the OTPTAT Board. The OTPTAT Board is the Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board of Ohio. The Ohio OTPTAT Board’s mission is “to actively promote and protect the health of Ohioans through effective regulation of the professions of occupational therapy, physical therapy, athletic training, orthotics, prosthetics, and pedorthics.” (OTPTAT)

The OTPTAT Board’s Primary Tasks of Regulation:

  • Establishing and checking requirements for entry into the profession
  • Adopting administrative rules to increase transparency and create processes for efficient regulation
  • Investigating complaints and disciplining licensees for violations of the code of ethics
  • Assuring continued competence of licensees through required continuing education

It has been a pleasure to serve the citizens of Ohio for the past 9 years in the role of public protection. I hope that I can inspire the greater Mount student body to consider serving their respective professions and the citizens within their communities.” (Dr. Erin Hofmeyer)
