"Being blessed to receive this scholarship was a life-changing event. It has provided me the ability to attend the Mount, which is an opportunity for which I have been immensely grateful every day since receiving it, and I will be for the rest of my life. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for this incredible gift, but to all the people who have made this opportunity possible, and to all those here today, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you."

Music and Social Computing Major

"I am a first-gen student, and the first in my family to attend college. I am the oldest of my siblings, so when college application time came, we struggled as we learned how the process worked. From when I first applied to the Mount, it became a lot easier. The merit scholarship alone alleviated a lot of financial burden and helped me put effort into pursuing the Mount."

Secondary Education Major with a concentration in English

"I am a proud recipient of the Renaissance Scholarship, awarded to students who participate in the Writer’s Block course at Mount St. Joseph University. Coming from a small town and a family that values education but also works hard to make ends meet, financial support like this has helped relieve the pressure of tuition and allowed me to focus on my studies and campus involvement."

"The quality education I am receiving at MSJ will ensure that no matter what field I go into, I will be ready. Ready to make an impact, to live and work competently. This scholarship provides me with an unshakeable foundation as a future educator—as a student who in a few short years will be out in the “real world” putting all these years of higher education to work."

Rules and Regulations

IRS rules require Mount St. Joseph University (the “University”) to report the value of the vehicle and withhold and remit a percentage of that value at the time of title transfer. The winner of the raffle will be responsible for properly paying all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the vehicle; however, the University will provide the winner with a “gross-up” cash value in addition to the vehicle. A portion of this cash value will be remitted on the winner’s behalf directly to the IRS, and a portion will be provided to the winner to help offset the state tax liability associated with winning the vehicle. Such amounts will be calculated and determined by the University in its sole discretion.
