Transfer Scholarship Opportunities Fall 2026-Spring 2027
All admitted students attending full-time and working towards their first bachelor's degree will receive an automatic merit scholarship. No additional application is required for consideration. This amount stacks on top of any other scholarship or grant you may receive.

It is recommended students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) in order to be reviewed for need-based grants, scholarships, and federal loan eligibility. When completing the FAFSA add the Mount’s school code: 003033.

Applying is free and designed to be simple for transfer students.
How to Apply for Transfer Admission into the Mount:
- Apply for free online at msj.edu/apply
- Submit official college transcript(s) from all colleges attended
- Meet a 2.0+ cumulative transfer GPA and have 12+ semester hours of earned credit (recognized by the USDE) to meet University admission.
- Official high school transcript and one-page personal essay may be required. Students can check their Student Status Page to view any additional requirements.
- College level classes with a grade “C” or better should transfer
- Once all materials are collected and reviewed the Nursing department will then review for BSN admission.
Requirements for Direct Clinical Admission Consideration:
- Official High School Transcript and Personal Essay may be required (one page)
- College cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher (all previous college/university coursework is included in calculating GPA)
- Completed a minimum or 22 semester credits and the required Category I or pre- clinical courses with a “C” or higher in (listed below):
- PSY 103: Introduction to Psychology
- SOC 103: Our Social World
- BIO 197/197A: Human Anatomy & Physiology for the Health Sciences 1
- BIO 198/198A: Human Anatomy & Physiology for the Health Sciences 2
- *CHE 111/111A/111R: General Chemistry

- NUR 100: Health Promotion (taken at the Mount. Class starts June 22, 2026.)

Transfer applicants must complete a minimum of 22 transfer credits that align with the program's curriculum and enroll in the Mount's NUR 100 course prior to starting clinicals. Clinicals start in the fall semester and continue for 3 years (fall/spring).
