Celebrate Student Research, Innovation and Work-Based Learning at MSJ on October 13
Mount St. Joseph University’s Center for Innovative Teaching and Education (cITe) will host its third annual Ideas in Action: Student Research & Work-Based Learning Showcase on Tuesday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will bring together students, faculty, staff, and guests to celebrate the creativity, research, and real-world experiences of undergraduate students.
Throughout the day, attendees will have opportunities to hear directly from students about their research, applied projects, internships and work-based learning experiences. The Showcase will also provide opportunities to learn new skills, explore innovative ideas, and connect with members of the Mount community and students from other institutions.
This year’s program will feature student poster presentations, Ignite-style presentations, student panels, faculty and staff presentations, and practical skill-building workshops. Topics will span a variety of areas, including undergraduate research, internships and work-based learning, technology, professional development, student success and more.
Attendees are welcome to participate throughout the day or stop by for individual sessions that interest them. The Showcase provides an opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of MSJ students while highlighting the ways undergraduate learning extends beyond the classroom.
Students interested in sharing their research, projects or work-based learning experiences are encouraged to submit a presentation proposal by September 30.
