Mount St. Joseph University will host a Creative Arts Residency on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Williams Recital Hall at 5701 Delhi Road. The residency features acclaimed music scholar and editor Isaac Selya, founder and artistic director of Queen City Opera and editor of Bärenreiter’s forthcoming edition of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin.
The day begins with a masterclass from 4:00–5:00 p.m., where Selya will explore topics including Urtext editions, the application of AI in music publishing and scholarship, and practical career paths using music notation software. The evening concludes with a 7:00 p.m. public reading of Eugene Onegin, Act 2, featuring the new Bärenreiter edition, sung in Russian with piano accompaniment. The performance will include singers from Slavic Voices, founded and directed by Benjamin Flanders.
