“A Game Plan for Success” Phil Castellini, President and CEO, Cincinnati Reds
The School of Business & Communication was honored to welcome Phil Castellini, President and CEO of the Cincinnati Reds, to Mount St. Joseph University on November 6, 2025. During his visit, Castellini delivered an inspirational talk titled “A Game Plan for Success.” He began by sharing his personal career journey and the steps that led him to his current role. He then discussed the competitive landscape of Major League Baseball and the organizational strategies the Reds are using to succeed as a small-market team. Castellini concluded by offering advice on breaking into the sports industry—insights that were especially valuable for students in the Sport Management program. Following his presentation, he opened the floor for a Q&A session and later met individually with students.
