CINCINNATI - Through a competitive selection process, five high-achieving high school students were awarded the prestigious Mount St. Joseph University Presidential Scholarship, which provides each student with the equivalent of full tuition and fees for four years (eight semesters).

"One of the greatest joys in education is enabling young people to chase their dreams," Dr. Williams remarked. "Announcing and presenting scholarships to our future students creates unforgettable moments for us. We are thrilled to welcome these deserving individuals to the Mount and extend special congratulations to the five Presidential Scholarship recipients."

The 2024 Presidential Scholarship winners are:

  • Brayah Conley - Lawrence North HS, Indianapolis, IN
  • Kenya Diaz-Sagrero – Ben Davis HS, Indianapolis, IN
  • Ginger Johnson – Wolfe County High School, Campton, KY
  • Joseph Knizner – St. Xavier High School, Cincinnati, OH
  • Dylan Searcy – Oak Hills High School, Cincinnati, OH

In February, 124 area high school students were selected to attend the Mount’s Annual Presidential and Dean’s Scholarship Event.  All students who attended the event received a Dean’s Scholarship to attend the Mount, which totals $2000 each year for four years (eight semesters).  At the event, participants were introduced to the Mount’s nationally-recognized faculty and innovative academic programs.  In addition to the on-campus event, participants created a video that described themselves in a creative manner, which was used to select the five Presidential Scholarship recipients.
