RENAME THE "OLD GYM" IN HONOR OF PATRICIA SHIBINSKI

Together, we can make a lasting impact by renaming the Old Gym at MSJ in honor of Pat.

For 42 years, Pat Shibinski devoted herself to the Mount's health and physical education program, leaving an indelible mark on many of the Mount’s student-athletes. In 1990, Pat achieved a significant milestone by becoming one of only five women elected to the Athletics Hall of Fame. Her dedication did not go unnoticed, as she also received the University's Alumni Association Award in 1992—a testament to her teaching excellence and lasting impact on students.

Pat was pioneer in women’s sports, as she instituted the Mount’s women’s athletics programs three years before the passage of Title IX. Her persistence created opportunities for her student-athletes and has left an immense historical impact at the Mount. Her illustrious career, coupled with significant recognitions, speaks volumes about Pat’s profound influence.

Help us honor Pat's enduring legacy by rebranding the Old Gym, a space that means the world to Pat, in the Jean Dowell Building. Your generous contribution will ensure that Pat's legacy remains an inspiration for the generations of Mount students to come. Donations can be made by check, Mount St. Joseph University, Attn: Dan Emsicke, 5701 Delhi Road, Cincinnati, OH 45233, or by using the secure online giving form below. Please be sure to add ‘Pat’ on check memos.
