Biography:
Bevin J. Blankenbuehler joined Mount St. Joseph community August of 2020 in a split position between the Division of Marketing and Communications as the Mount Videographer, the Department of Creative Arts, and the School of Business & Communication as an instructor. Bevin has developed several long-standing Marketing assets and collaborations, a mini documentary series about the Catamount lion statue project, and a series of videos high lighting each department in a minute or less. Each asset is used to build brand awareness, help drive enrollment and give perspective students a quick look at what they can expect from their college experience. Bevin was part of the team that produced the Cardiac Ballet that won a Freddie award in 2012 during her time employed at the University of Cincinnati. She helped shoot and produce “Jim Cotter: An Apalachin Renaissance” mini documentary which won third place in the 2015 My Hero International Film Festival. In 2021, she was also one of the participants who received the AMA Foundation Higher Education Marketing Team of the Year Award which honors extraordinary leadership and achievement in the field of higher education marketing
Bevin has also developed a student group through the MSJ Renaissance program call Peak Productions. This group is a hands-on video production experience. Participants run a weekly morning news show called the MSJ Morning Minute, streamed live via the MSJ Morning Minute web page. Students complete projects both on and off campus to highlight the achievements of their peers and showcase events that occur on campus. Peak Productions provides students with the opportunity to work on video projects in areas of their expertise and interest be it field recording, live video streaming technical support, postproduction editing, motion graphic design, and podcast audio recording.
Bevin is also an avid hand knitter, spins yarn, practices photography and plays guitar in her spare time.
