Dr. Sontag is an associate professor of philosophy and dean of the School of Arts and Humanities.  He teaches courses in the history of philosophy, ethics, philosophy of art, and philosophy of mind.

Dr. Sontag holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati (2006), which awarded him the Graduate School’s 2001 Excellence in Teaching Award.  Professor Sontag’s research interests are in the areas of philosophy of mind and philosophical psychology, with a focus on theories of emotion.
