Biography:

Dr. Megan Schneider Dinnesen is an Associate Professor of Special Education in the School of Education. Prior to joining the Mount faculty in 2020, Dr. Dinnesen worked as an educational research program director at the University of Cincinnati and as an intervention specialist in the Oak Hills Local School District. She has more twenty years of experience in special education and teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in special education at MSJ. In 2023, Dr. Dinnesen was awarded the Sister Adele C. Clifford Award for Excellence in Teaching, the University’s highest honor. Dr. Dinnesen is the faculty advisor for the MSJ Aspiring Educators chapter. She has presented and published research related to parent advocacy in special education, early literacy development in children with exceptionalities, and social emotional learning for pre-service teachers.


Dr. Dinnesen also serves as the Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning at Mount St. Joseph University. In this role, Dr. Dinnesen facilitates programming and provides resources to support faculty and staff in implementing best practices in teaching and learning in higher education environments.

 

Dr. Dinnesen is a lifelong Cincinnatian and enjoys spending time adventuring outdoors with her husband, two children, and dog.
