Biography:

Dr. Jennifer Withrow has been a proud social worker since 1999. Receiving her BSW and MSW, Dr. Withrow continued her education by obtaining her doctorate in Educational Leadership, with focus on Higher Education. Dr. Withrow began her work in child welfare, ultimately recognizing first-hand the systems that are broken, but also placing in her heart the calling to be a foster parent. 

Dr. Withrow has worked in the areas of administration in foster/adoptive care, school social work, aging, healthcare administration, and clinical social work. Dr. Withrow has been teaching in higher education since 2008. Dr. Withrow's research has focused on the areas of health disparities, service learning, and field education during the COVID 19 pandemic.

Dr. Withrow is the Chair of the Department of Social Work and BSW Program Director & Associate Professor at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio and lives in Northern Kentucky with her wife and two children. 

Dr. Withrow is actively involved with NASW, CSWE, Association of Baccalaureate Program Directors (BPD), local LGBTQ+ organizations, and her local political party. Dr. Withrow has campaigned at the local level for school board members and served on campaign canvassing teams for state governor. Dr. Withrow was elected this year to her children's elementary schools Site Based Decision Making Council and will serve a two-year term.
