Biography:
Dr. Kalenkoski is currently the Dean of the School of Business and Communication at Mount St. Joseph University. She joined MSJ because she believes in the value of a liberal arts education, in nurturing every student, and in serving the common good. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics at The George Washington University, and she has since served as a faculty member at several institutions including Ohio University, Texas Tech University, and James Madison University. Her previous administrative roles include Director of the Ph.D. Program in Personal Financial Planning at Texas Tech University and Head of the Department of Economics at James Madison University. Dr. Kalenkoski's research and teaching interests include Labor Economics, Household Economics, Microeconomics, and Financial Planning. Additionally, she is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning, an Editorial Board Member of the Financial Planning Review, an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Time Use Research, and a Research Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn, Germany. She also is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
