We Rise to New Heights

It’s a new day at Mount St. Joseph University.

Inspired by the vision of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati and grounded in more than a century of educational excellence, To New Heights: Strategic Plan 2030 charts a bold course for the future of the Mount.

Our vision is to become the Midwest’s premier destination campus—a place where students are known by name, supported at every step, challenged to reach their full potential, and inspired to make a difference. By combining transformative learning, meaningful mentorship, a vibrant campus life, and unparalleled career preparation, we will ensure that every student graduates ready to thrive in a changing world and lead a life of purpose.

Together, we are building on our legacy of service and compassion while creating a university experience that is uniquely the Mount: personal, transformative, and deeply connected to the communities we serve.

HOW WE ACHIEVE OUR VISION

Our values run deep and cultivate a community that makes the Mount different.  How we engage with one another—our students, our workforce, the world—through our values in action, demonstrates our dedication to excellence and the common good.

These values are: 1) Charity, sharing kindness and a generous spirit, upholding the well-being of others, 2) Collaboration, partnering to achieve results and valuing diverse opinions, 3) Commitment, seeking continuous improvement and honoring our shared goals, and 4) Curiosity, engaging with the strategic plan, demonstrating an openness to explore, experiment, and create.
