Official Rules

Digital submissions will be juried by art and design faculty with email notifications sent in late February.

Include the following items with the portfolio:

  1.  A short letter or essay articulating your reasons for wanting to study art and design at the Mount, and the importance of art and design in your life. Indicate the areas of study you are most interested in pursuing. Include your name, address, e-mail, and school name.
  2. A letter of recommendation from your high school art instructor.
  3. A transcript of grades.
  4. An inventory of the art and design works included in the portfolio (title, media, date).

Chosen Applicants 

Chosen applicants will then submit actual portfolios for the second round of jurying.

Portfolios should be delivered to the Dorothy Meyer Ziv Art Building on:

  • March 2-6, 2015 (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.), or
  • Saturday, March 7, 2015 (1-5 p.m.) or
  • Sunday, March 8, 2015 (1-5 p.m.)

Tape your name, address, e-mail, and school name to the outside of your actual portfolio.

Final jurying and awarding of scholarships, with notification, will take place in the third week of March.

Portfolios should be picked up at the Dorothy Meyer Ziv Art Building on:

  • Friday March 27, 2015 (10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.), or
  • Saturday, March 28, 2015 (1-5p.m.) or
  • Sunday, March 29, 2015 (1-5 p.m.)
