Mount alumni will be coming to Naples and Sanibel Island to share their work in bird research and conservation, including a birding expedition and documentary.  We hope you will be able to join us for one or both days. You can check the website for updates.

Join Dr. Jill Russell ’96 in Naples as she discusses the Boreal Owl and how Mount students are participating in a bird-banding project that is occurring at the Sisters of Charity Motherhouse in Cincinnati.  She will also explain the art of birding and what is to come on Saturday’s expedition. Cap off the evening with an alumni reception hosted by Ginny Callahan O’Connor ’65 and Neil O’Connor.

Saturday, February 22

On Sanibel Island, enjoy a birding expedition at the J.N. Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge followed by a showing of the documentary “Blue and Gold” about the re-introduction of the Blue & Gold Macaw into Trinidad by Mount alumna Bernadette Coutain Plair ’67.
