What is Campus Ministry?

Campus Ministry is part of the culture at the Mount and serves the campus community by helping its members grow in faith. Spiritual development is a core element of a liberal arts education, and Campus Ministry facilitates this development. Campus Ministry helps the campus community integrate spirituality into all areas of their lives.

Campus Ministry strives for everyone to ask themselves “What do I believe?” and dialogue with others about those beliefs. Visit the Campus Ministry Web page.

Do I have to be Catholic to participate in Campus Ministry programs or events?

Absolutely not!  We invite people of all faiths to participate in any of our programs or events.  View a list of local places of worship.

How can I get involved with Campus Ministry?

Events are scheduled throughout the year, and you can come to one or all events. Campus Ministry is not a club that you have to join in order to participate. Although there are other programs that do require more than a one-time commitment or being a part of the student leadership team.

Our areas of focus include retreats, faith programs, justice and service, and leadership and fellowship.  Be sure to check out our Calendar of Events to learn about upcoming Campus Ministry activities.

Where can I go to Mass at the Mount?

Anyone is invited to join us every Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. in the Mater Dei Chapel for Sunday Mass, during fall and spring semesters. This is an awesome opportunity to experience inspiring homilies and friendly priests, lively music, as well as a way to meet new friends who share your faith. Students are involved in the music ministry and serve as readers and Eucharistic ministers for all our Masses.

Holy Day Masses are on that day at Noon in the Mater Dei Chapel. View a list of Catholic churches near the Mount for additional worship opportunities.
