Dr. Elizabeth Murray and biology students from Mount St. Joseph University have been involved with Project Identify, a collaboration of organizations to identify unidentified victims in cold cases. Yesterday, Local 12 reporter Deb Dixon followed up with a story about the identity of "Pearl Lady," a woman who was found in the Ohio River in 2006 wearing a Monet pearl necklace.

Students help with Project Identify by entering fingerprints, facial images, dental records and DNA profiles into NamUs, the database that compares America's missing with the dead. Project Identify involves six unidentified dead in Hamilton County going back to 1980.
