College of Mount St. Joseph names Joe Cornely as director of individual and campaign giving

The College of Mount St. Joseph announces Joe Cornely has joined the division of institutional advancement as director of individual and campaign giving. He reports directly to Patty Lusheck Ragio, vice president of institutional advancement, as well as work with the President’s Cabinet and other senior leaders in alumni and donor relations, and marketing.

Cornely has significant experience in sales and marketing. He was most recently a consultant for Thermedx Medical and Cincinnati Healthworks, where he handled the development of strategic sales and marketing plans. Cornely previously was the regional sales director for cardiac rhythm management and atrial fibrillation for St. Jude Medical. He has also served as a corporate account director for Ohio and Michigan with Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems.

Cornely’s experience will enhance the Mount’s fundraising capacity during a time when it transitioning from a college to a university, and implementing an exciting new strategic plan and vision for the future.

“It is an exciting time for the College and I feel fortunate to be joining the team as we continue to strategically plan for the future,” Cornely said. “I look forward to working with the entire Mount community, as we ensure a bright future of success for the College and most importantly, our students.”

Cornely received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Washington College in Chestertown, Md., and has served as a mentor with the Xavier University Williams School of Business.
