Father John Amankwah recently took his Spoken Word class of twenty-two students to Hofbrauhaus in Newport, KY.  He spoke about his own travel experiences and shared accounts of his time in Germany. Students enjoyed sampling German food and discussing food culture around the world.

The class had the added opportunity to meet with retired chef, Jim Egbert, who gave an informal speech about authentic German cuisine.

The trip, initiated by student request, was hosted by Fr. John who finds the Communication and New Media Studies major to be all-encompassing.  "Communication as a discipline is all embracing and traverses almost all academic disciplines," he says.
