The Mount's annual Community Trick or Treat, held on Wednesday, October 25, was a fantastic success. More than 1,500 children and their family members enjoyed a fun-filled and treat-filled evening in the Mount's Harrington Gym.
Candy, smiles and laughs weren't the only items being shared at this Halloween party. Attendees donated $300 and more than 350 canned goods for the Anderson Ferry Food Pantry.
Students Kate Mays and Riley Ferguson, leaders of the student-led Campus Activities Board, are credited with the success of the event. According to Warren Grove, assistant dean for student engagement and leadership, more than 40 organizations from the Delhi Community and the Mount's campus provided support or volunteered to help with this event.
Next year’s Community Trick or Treat at the Mount is expected to be extra exciting, as the event will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
