The College of Mount St. Joseph presented the 2013 Elizabeth Seton Mission Award to Peggy Gruen, a member of the support staff for the athletics department. The annual award recognizes an outstanding staff member who creates an environment that is supportive of the College, is sensitive to the needs of others and who gives evidence of service to students.

Gruen has been a member of the Mount’s staff since 2004 when she began working as a member of the support staff for the institutional advancement department. She has been in her current position with the athletics department since 2010.

Gruen has 16 grandchildren, ranging in age from one to 17 years old, so she spends much of her free time attending their programs and sports games. She and her husband, Dave, live in North Bend.

The College of Mount St. Joseph is an undergraduate and graduate Catholic college that provides an interdisciplinary liberal arts and professional curriculum emphasizing values, service and social responsibility.
