Ashley R. Vaughn ’05, ’09 of Hamilton, Ohio, and her husband welcomed their second son, Evan Maxwell, on July 26, 2014. Ashley completed her Master of Science in Biology and Emerging Diseases in December 2013 and is now pursuing a doctorate in educational studies at the University of Cincinnati.

Annie Barkley Horn ’08 of Cincinnati has been promoted to program manager for Girls on the Run of Greater Cincinnati. Annie oversees all Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana program sites. Girls on the Run is a life-changing, nonprofit program for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade, whose mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Kathryn Roedig ’13 of Cincinnati participated in Miami University’s Earth Expeditions global field course in India. During the summer of 2014, she studied the stunning ecological, cultural and spiritual landscapes of the Western Ghats, where the fates of people, wildlife and deities meet in sacred groves and forest temples. Kathryn, a teacher and coach at Summit Country Day School in Cincinnati, took the graduate course in pursuit of her master’s degree from Miami University’s Global Field Program.
