Marriages, new jobs, new children, new grandchildren — find out what fellow alums have been up to since the last Class Note Corner.


Cathy Austing Herring ’72 is an art teacher at Mercy Montessori School in Cincinnati.  Seven of her students recently received recognition for their artwork from the International Children’s Art Competition, which received 200,000 entries from children around the world.

Peg Neumann Fischer ’78 is serving as Director of Special Education at St. Ignatius Loyola in Cincinnati after having been an elementary principal for 20 years. Both of her children live in Cincinnati, where one is a band director, and the other a student at the Mount. She and husband, Walt, are building a new home and recently welcomed their first grandchild.


Dave Duebber ‘89 of Dayton, Ohio, recently celebrated his 15-year anniversary with Glimcher Realty Trust and was promoted to General Manager of the Dayton Mall in 2009, and almost 25 years in the shopping center management/asset management industry.


Carla Siegel ’93, of Fort Loramie, Ohio is the basketball coach of Fort Loramie High School. She recently led her girls to the State Championship.


Sara Hoelle Jung ’01, of Fairfield, Ohio, just welcomed a baby girl with her husband, Tim Jung on June 1, 2013. They are now a happy family of five.

Camika Davis ’02, of Cincinnati married Ronell Smith from Detroit, Mich., on August 24, 2013 in Miami, Florida. The two have a lovely four year old daughter and are expecting their second child, a son in October 2013.

Bill Tonnis ’04 of Cincinnati, is about to release his third album of original Contemporary Christian Music titled "Give Praise and Thanks." He feels that his education at the Mount was integral in his transition from a radio news career at WLW Radio to Ministry.

J.B. Volker ’05 of Atlanta, Ga., is Georgia State’s new linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator.

Jesse Minter ’05 of Atlanta, Ga., will lead Georgia State in its first season at the NCAA Division 1 FBS level and as a member of the Sun Belt Conference.

Laura Spampinato Agee '07 has been married to Nick Agee '05 for 3 years now and their first child Abigail Nicole will be born on September 12. Laura and Nick both work for Procter & Gamble and recently moved to Loveland, Ohio.
Ashley Lear ’12 of Cincinnati, was hired in April 2013 at The Drop Inn Shelter as Triage Intake Specialist.
