Alumni returned to campus to share old memories and make new ones during Reunion Weekend 2015. On June 5-7, Mount St. Joseph University welcomed home members of the classes of 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985 and Royal Mounties for a fun filled weekend, full of opportunities for friends and former classmates to catch up with each other.

A big draw for all was the Alumni Convocation in Mater Dei Chapel on Saturday, June 6. Deceased classmates were remembered and three alumni were honored. Marianne Male Wolf ’70 received the Sister Mary Lea Mueller Human Service Award for service to people in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District; Laura Craft, Ph.D., R.N., ’80 was awarded the Alumni Career Achievement Award for her successful work as a director of clinical operations; and Virginia (Ginny) Callahan O’Connor ’65 received the Loretta Richards Distinguished Alumni Award, recognizing her service to the University and a variety of organizations throughout the city. The fun continued with a luncheon following Convocation.

On Saturday evening the class of 1965 celebrated their 50th Golden Anniversary with a dinner, and presented the Mount with $22,355 for the Golden Anniversary Scholarship in honor of the occasion. During the dinner, each member of the class of 1965 was given a Golden Anniversary bio booklet to commemorate the evening. If you are a member of the class of 1965 who was unable to attend the event and would like a bio book, please call the office of Alumni Relations at 513-244-4298.

The class of 1970 also held their gathering on Saturday evening at the Celestial Steakhouse in Mount Adams where they enjoyed the company of each other, great food and live music.

Events concluded on Sunday with alumni celebrating mass at the Motherhouse, followed by a family brunch on campus.

Members of the classes of 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2010 will have an opportunity to celebrate at Homecoming the weekend of October 2-4. Please, mark your calendars now!
