Biography:
Ally Oakes is a violinist with a degree in Music Education from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). She has experience teaching strings and general music in a public school setting. She has also worked with an orchestra for adults over age 50 who would like to learn a string instrument and runs a private lesson studio in Sayler Park. Ally is excited to use her varied experience at Mount St. Joseph to enhance the music education students’ knowledge of string pedagogy and to help them learn to play strings in a healthy way.
