CONGRATULATIONS TO MOUNT EDUCATION FACULTY who joined University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, Northern Kentucky University, and the Cincinnatus Society in their annual teacher awards by creating the category of “Outstanding Student Teacher Mentor.” Tony Aretz, president of the Mount, presented this award to Jennifer Kolde, a teacher at Blue Ash Elementary on February 11, 2014 at a ceremony at the Cintas Center.

Terry Aretz, wife of the president, was elected as chair of the Presidential Spouses and Partners Task Force of the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC). Terry was also the inaugural chair of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) Presidential Spouses Task force for 2012-14.

Craig Lloyd, associate professor of art, served as a juror (drawing category) for the 2014 Scholastic Art Awards, a regional high school art competition. The selection process took place at Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, Ky. on January 18, 2014.

Robyn Stone, adjunct instructor of English, published her first book of poetry, ‘Uncertain Rustling,’ in January 2014. The book is published by Oloris Publishing.

Robyn Stone, adjunct instructor of English, wrote a poem, “Stealing Divinity,” that has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. It was first published in the CWP’s anthology, “A Few Good Words.”
