The Campus Activities and Leadership Office is housed in the Student Development and Wellness Suite of the Harrington Student Center. This office oversees a wide variety of campus activities and leadership initiatives.
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is the main programming body on campus. It offers students an opportunity to plan and implement activities, programs and events for the enjoyment and enrichment of the entire campus community. The CAB members select a variety of programs such as comedians, bands, novelty events and lectures. The Campus Activities Board purchases tickets to local movie theaters, seasonal programs and sporting events around the city and sells them at a discounted rate. The Board is open to all students.
There are 40 registered student clubs and organizations on campus. Organizations range in focus from academic to social to spiritual to service and beyond. Students are encouraged to start a club if there is not one currently on campus that has a similar focus. Campus Activities and Leadership provides ongoing support to clubs and organizations in the form of training, one-on-one advising, and monitoring of club accounts.
The office also provides leadership opportunities to students throughout the year. These leadership initiatives include administering the Leadership Scholarship and the Emerging Leader Program, and hosting the Mount Leadership Retreat and Mount High School Retreat.
For information on any of these co-curricular opportunities, contact the Campus Activities and Leadership Office at (513) 244-4627.
