Ordering a Notebook Computer Recommended by the Mount
With the option below, your service and support for the notebook computer will be provided by the Mount. You will have access to service and support at the ISS Help Desk as well as the offer of a loaner notebook computer if a repair requires more than 24 hours.
You will order your selected model notebook computer directly from the manufacturer and have it delivered to your home or other address.
To place your notebook order:
- Go to http://www.msj.edu/computing
- Click on the link “2008-2009 Purchased Notebook Pricing”
- Click on the link, “Student Web Information System (login required)”
- Enter your Mount login name (ID number) and the password that was sent to you from the ISS Help Desk with the information on selecting a notebook computer.
- Click on <Computer Selection> in the left-hand menu.
- Follow the directions on the screen.
The manufacturer will require payment for the notebook computer with a credit or debit card. The Mount will be automatically be notified that you have ordered your notebook computer.
The Mount will send a packet of information to your home address that will include:
- Login information for the notebook
- How to create a local account on the notebook
- How to add the College’s web-based printers
- How to login to Cisco Clean Access on campus
You should receive your notebook computer within 15 days after you place your order. Your notebook computer will arrive at your home address with the Mount’s interface and software pre-installed.
