The College of Mount St. Joseph is committed to safety and security on campus and is in compliance with the Federal Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, Higher Education Amendments of 1998 (HEA 98).
The Department of Public Safety is located on the lower level of the Seton Center (next to the vending machine area). The staff of police officers are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To reach an officer, dial extension 4226 from any campus phone, 244-4226 from an off campus phone. An officer can also be reached by dialing 0 from any campus phone.
Reporting Information
All emergencies or unusual activity should be reported immediately to the Department of Public Safety. After being notified of an emergency or suspicious condition on campus, the Department of Public Safety will dispatch the appropriate number of officers and emergency equipment to the scene. If Maintenance personnel are needed they can be contacted in an emergency by Public Safety. All crimes occurring on campus should be reported immediately to the Department of Public safety. Public Safety will prepare a report of the incident. The Department of Public Safety maintains a close relationship with the Delhi Police and Fire Departments. Public Safety will notify Delhi in instances where assistance is requested.
