Since 1899, just 25 years after the first recorded playing of the sport in America, tennis tournaments have been staged in Cincinnati. The Tennis Masters Series is held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center located across from Paramount's Kings Island, about 30 minutes northeast of downtown Cincinnati. 2008 marks the 109th year of tournament tennis in Cincinnati.
