Alpha Phi Omega
Advisor: Ms.Tracy McDonough
This is a co-ed national service fraternity, founded on the principles of leadership, friendship, and service. There is an open membership policy, and members have the opportunity to develop leadership skills through fellowship and service.
Black Student Union (BSU)
Advisor: Larissa Wright
Members of BSU organize activities, which promote social interaction and understanding between club members and the Mount community. It supports and advises African American students on campus. BSU helps to promote diversity and awareness to the Mount community by hosting and participating in events on and off campus. Membership is open to all Mount students.
Campus Activities Board (CAB)
The Campus Activities Board in the main programming body on campus. It offers students an opportunity to plan and implement activities, programs and events for the enjoyment and enrichment of the entire campus community. The CAB members select a variety of programs such as comedians, bands, novelty events and lectures. The Campus Activities Board also purchases tickets to local movies theaters, seasonal programs and sporting events around the city and sells them at a discounted rate. The Board is open to all students.
Campus Ambassadors (Departmental)
Advisor: Ms. Kate Dusing
In addition to conducting college tours, this group serves as student representatives for the Office of Admission and the College of Mount Saint Joseph in all public relation efforts, special events, and recruitment events. Faculty and staff or another CA member nominates students. Acceptance is based on past academic and community performance. Students must complete an application and go through a selection process in order to be accepted.
Campus Ministry
Advisor: Ms. Kate Welsh
Campus Ministry is open to all students with an interest in a variety of areas including social justice, service, retreats, prayer, and worship, spiritual and personal development, leadership development and deepening of the Christian faith. Activities include a variety of retreats, prayer services, opportunities for faith sharing, service trips and social action.
Circle K International
A unique organization that blends community service, fellowship, and outstanding leadership development. Members must be of good character, provide service through the many projects of Circle K. The club sponsors many service projects, in the surrounding community and on campus. The members also participate with local Kiwanis sponsored programs and other college chapter programs.
College of Mount St. Joseph Libertarians
This organization offers a free-thinking approach to politics. We are supporters of freedom and privacy with our interest in smaller government.
Creative and Performing Arts Club
Advisor: Mr. Jeffrey Hillard
This club is dedicated to promoting a higher level of awareness, knowledge and understanding of all the creative and performing arts with a particular focus on the Dramatic Arts. Comprised of students, faculty, and staff with a strong interest in theatre, CPAC produces the campus nonmusical theatrical productions, as well as sponsoring campus performances by guest artists and theatrical troupes throughout the year.
Environmental Awareness Club
The purpose of the Environmental Awareness Club is to help preserve the Earth. As we clean-up after ourselves we should divide our recyclables from garbage. Energy is being conserved because of the people that recycle. With the help of this club, a place will be provided for people to place their recyclables and help conserve energy. As we recycle on campus, it will show that we care for the community and the well being of others.
Habitat for Humanity
Advisor: Dr. Jozef Zalot
Habitat for Humanity's purpose is to build houses, raise funds, advocate for, and educate students about the organization.
Hall Council
The Hall Council serves as a governing and programming body to the residence hall students. It is responsible for planning and implementing programs that meet the needs of the resident community. The club serves the campus by getting involved in campus decision-making within the area of student life and wellness. The council addresses the current issues concerning the resident population, reviews policies to enhance the campus living environment, and provides social outlets to residence students and all who attend the open events.
International Student Association (ISA)
Students representing countries around the world are a viable complement to the educational process at MSJ. The International Student Association offers members the opportunity to acquaint each other with different cultures’ ideas and customs. The ISA serves the campus by bringing all peoples together from many “walks of life” in the hopes to improve communication and understanding between the different cultures. International events include movies, exhibits, field trips, food festivals, snack hours and much more. Memberships open to everyone.
MSJ Dateline

Hey students, pop quiz: What’s one way to utilize your writing abilities, have your work published, and get involved? The answer: MSJ Dateline ! MSJ Dateline is the student newspaper of the College of Mount Saint Joseph, which is published monthly by and for the students. It is a student-operated newspaper, which covers campus news, hot spots in Cincinnati, MSJ sports, and movie/book reviews. It serves as the voice of the students, allowing them to express their opinions and concerns. If you want to be a part of something that is read on every college corner, be a staff writer for the Dateline . Remember: “It’s your right to write!”
MSJ Lions Band
Advisor: Mr. Richard Elliot
The Lions band is committed to providing an environment and program that gives all Mount students an opportunity to perform in both marching and concert band idioms. We foster an appreciation for the universality of music, while developing respect for the art’s form of cultural diversity. Through public performances, we enhance each student’s self-esteem, teach the importance of teamwork, provide a wholesome outlet for each member’s self-expression, and provide a positive image for the College. We build the student body’s “school spirit” by supporting appropriate school and community events. We stimulate each student’s lifelong commitment to personal and musical growth, while fostering a love for the art of music. We serve as an example of the importance of the arts in our daily lives.
Student Athlete Advisory Committee
Advisor: Ms. Erin Pauley
The purpose of the Student Athete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity for all student-athletes; protecting student-athlete welfare; and fostering a positive student-athlete image, while maintaining the tenants of the Division III philosophy.
Students with Children
This club advocates and supports the needs and concerns of parents who are students at the Mount. It acts as an advisory group for the Mount’s Children’s Center, providing support sessions, parenting Series and fund-raisers for the Children’s Center. This club is the vehicle that students who are parents can use to address issues and concerns related to the Mount, allowing for a supportive environment for parents.
Young Democrats of America
This organization's purpose is to help elect Democratic candidates, encourage involvement in the Democratic party, support and teach ideals and values of Y.D.A. and provide people with skills and experiences they will need to lead our nation.
