The following are the types of financial aid programs available at the Mount.
| Scholarships |
Awards that do not have to be repaid. Most are based on academic and/or leadership ability and are not usually dependent on financial need. The Mount offers a variety of scholarships with approximately 500 students receiving scholarship aid annually. |
| Grants |
Aid based on financial need that do not have to be repaid. The federal and state governments primarily fund grants with the College supplementing these programs with its own funds. |
| Educational Loans |
Loans Loans with low-interest rates to be repaid after graduation. |
| Employment |
Employment is available both on and off campus. Students with financial need can work on campus through the Work Study program or the Mount’s own student employment program. Co-op and other off-campus job opportunities are available through the Career and Experiential Education Center. |
| Payment Plan |
This is an interest-free monthly plan to make education payments more convenient and affordable. The Mount offers a payment plan through Tuition Management Systems (TMS) that lets you pay all or part of your educational expenses in manageable monthly installments. |
| PLUS Loans |
Loans taken by parents to cover a remaining balance on your behalf. The repayment process of a Federal PLUS (Parents Loan for Undergraduate Students) loan begins sixty days after the last loan disbursement for the school year. They will have up to ten years to repay. |
| Alternative Loans |
Alternative Loans are private loans provided to students. They are an alternative to the federal student loans and they offer a wide variety of loan limits, interest rates, repayment terms, and co-signer requirements. |
