Alan deCourcy, D.Min.
Dr. deCourcy is the academic dean and an associate professor in the Department of Religious and Pastoral Studies. He received his M.Th. from the Divinity School of the University of Chicago and his D.Min. from United Theological Seminary. He has taught at the Mount for 13 years, and is a former director of the College's Honors Program. His research interests lie in the development of interdisciplinary studies, and the integration of psychology and religion.

Marge Kloos, S.C., D.Min.
Dr. Kloos is an associate professor of religious and pastoral studies. She has taught courses in theological reflection, pastoral ministry and systematic theology in degree programs and lay ministry development programs. Having earned a master's degree from the University of Dayton in theological studies and a doctorate in ministry with a concentration in pastoral care from United Theological Seminary, Sister Marge has taught a number of interdisciplinary courses drawing on eco-theology, a first passion from her undergraduate studies in Environmental Studies. She has done research in feminist methodologies for cross-cultural spiritual care. Dr. Kloos leads students on immersion course trips to the US-Mexico Border and Cherokee, N.C. She was the 1999 recipient of the "Adele Clifford Excellence in Teaching Award" at the College of Mount St. Joseph.

Harriet Luckman, Ph.D. 
Dr. Luckman is associate professor of religious studies and director of the Spirituality Institute at the College of Mount Saint Joseph. She holds an M.A. in systematic theology from St. Thomas Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in historical theology from Marquette University. Prior to coming to the Mount, Dr. Luckman served as chair of the Theology Department at St. John's Seminary College in Camarillo, California. She was also the associate director for Collegium, a Consortium of 65 Catholic Universities and Colleges on the Intellectual Life and Catholic Higher Education, located at Fairfield University, Fairfield, Conn. She has worked in the field of spirituality, ministry, and spiritual direction for more than 25 years.

John Trokan, D.Min. - Department Chair
Dr. Trokan earned a Doctor of Ministry from the University of St. Mary of the Lake, in Mundelein, Ill., and a master's degree in religious studies at Marquette University, in Milwaukee, Wisc. Dr. Trokan has taught courses in Christian Scriptures, Pastoral Theology and Ministry, Appalachian and Lakota Culture and Spirituality, Theology of Community and Leadership, Theology of Marriage and Family, and Life Through Death. Dr. Trokan's specialties are in scripture and pastoral ministry. He was the 1993 recipient of the Mount's Clifford Teaching Excellence Award, and the 2004 Elizabeth Seton Award for contributions to the Charity mission. His hobbies include gardening, cycling, hiking and running. Dr. Trokan is also an active member of the Hills of Dulcimer Club, and plays the mountain dulcimer and the accordian.

Jozef D. Zalot, Ph.D.
Dr. Jozef D. Zalot is an assistant professor in the Department of Religious and Pastoral Studies. He earned a Ph.D in Religious Studies from Marquette University, a M.Ed. in religious studies from the Institute of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry at Boston College, and a B.A. from St. Anselm College. He also holds an M.Ed. in sports management from Springfield College. Dr. Z enjoys traveling, playing golf and downhill skiing. He is married and has a daughter.
