Degrees: Ed.D., University of Cincinnati

Biography: Dr. Ranz-Smith is an assistant professor in the Department of Undergraduate Education and teaches courses focusing on inclusive early childhood. She holds an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Cincinnati as well as degrees from Kent State University in early childhood and Xavier University in reading.

Having taught at both the elementary and college levels, Dr. Ranz-Smith brings more than 30 years of experience in education to the Mount. She also has served in an advisory capacity with the Ohio Department of Education in curriculum development and has presented topics related to literacy and the social studies at regional and national conferences.
