Biography: Ms. Brinksmeier is an associate professor in the Department of Music. A native of Germany, she received her M.M. in Harp Performance from the Julliard School of Music in 1982. Ms. Brinksmeier joined the faculty of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 1990 and headed the Harp Department until June of 2003.
Locally Professor Brinksmeier has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Ballet and the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra. She has also soloed with the Cincinnati Baroque Orchestra, the Cincinnati Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cincinnati Community Orchestra. Ms. Brinksmeier can be heard in solo and chamber recitals throughout the area.
