Read what Michael Klabunde has to say:

I enjoy change and being in new places and situations! That’s why my varied responsibilities here at the Mount, teaching English and History courses mainly, are so appealing to me.  I never get bored, and hope that I can impart that same excitement for discovery in my students. I’ve always got a book or two that I’m in the middle of reading, and aside from class-related subjects, they’ll range from the pure pleasure of a good sci-fi novel to something about the ancient world, another contemporary culture, or a current event. At home, you’ll usually find either some classical music or opera playing in the background, or a DVD lecture or documentary of some sort on the screen if I’m exercising. I have an absolute mania for travel and foreign languages, and have been very fortunate to have gotten around to quite a few places on this globe of ours both for business and for pleasure. I have to admit, though, to Greece being my favorite place to be when I do travel, and it all started when as a boy, I opened a mythology book…

4 favorite Books:

  • Homer, The Odyssey – for its travel and adventure, of course!
  • Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching – for its notions of everything in perfect balance.
  • Thomas Malory, Morte D’Arthur – for its romance and chivalry.
  • Charles Darwin, The Origin of Species – for its clarification and truth.
