Biography: Dr. Sontag is an associate professor and chair of the Department of General Studies and Phiosophy. He earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Cincinnati, where he was chosen from among 3,000 graduate students to receive the 2000-2001 University of Cincinnati Excellence in Graduate Teaching Award.
Professor Sontag's research interests are in the areas of philosophy of mind and philosophical psychology, with a particular focus on theories of the emotions. He enjoys playing the drums and percussion, and is an active member of the local music scene.
